Comedy set in the suburbs that explores rigid belief systems… and conversely, the art of compromise. Newlyweds Catye and Jason have it all: looks, excellent jobs, and a great big mortgage they can handle no sweat. There’s only one hitch—they haven’t consummated their marriage. "Do Not Bend" is the story of what happens when two people try to replace reality with a fantasy that is the opposite of their wildest dreams.

Pierre Bonhomme

Pierre Bonhomme is an enterprising film-maker with a solid background in art direction and a knack for storytelling. He has established himself rather quickly in the Toronto film community by fostering unseen creative opportunities in which new professional relationships can emerge. After graduating from the Ontario College of Art's Environmental Design programme, Pierre attended graduate school for Architecture at Dalhousie University. In 1997, Pierre set out to see the world by working as a freelance architect in Berlin, New York and Dubai. In 2001, Pierre left his architecture career and returned to Toronto for work with accomplished Production Designer Jasna Stefanovic, on the feature Nothing (Dir. Vincenzo Natale) and later, with Ingrid Jurek on the television series, Queer as Folk. Since then, he has accumulated DGC credits working on features such as New York Minute (Dir. Dennie Gordon), the Steve Martin comedy Cheaper By The Dozen II (Dir. Adam Shankman) and It's a Boy Girl Thing (Dir. Nick Hurran), produced by Elton John's Rocket Pictures. To balance this big budget work, Pierre has devoted a great deal of his time as Production Designer on over a dozen independent short films for the OMDC, Bravo!FACT and other funding organizations. In 2004, Pierre was chosen by the Toronto Inside Out Lesbian and Gay Film and Video Festival to direct one of 10 commissioned, first-time short digital videos for their new Video Virgins programme. Within a two-month deadline, Pierre wrote, produced and directed his first 9-minute short, A Body of Work under the sound guidance of Mentor Director Stev'nn Hall. This film was screened at the 2004 Inside Out Festival and other local venues. Most recently, Pierre was the Art Director on two Canadian feature films: Neil (Dir. Boris Mojsovski) 2005, and Tracey Fragments (Dir. Bruce MacDonald) which wrapped in March 2006. After he directs Moving Day, Pierre will travel to Morocco for an extended stay to finish his third feature screenplay with warm sand between his toes.
