Familia 068

Toni Edo and Rubén Margalló / 2007 / Documentary / Spain / Spanish / Subtitles: English / 27'00" / Mini DV /

Synopsis

A family among others living in the landfill in Managua, Nicaragua known as the Chureca. Without using interviews, a voice in off or music, the everyday tale of this family is interwoven: what they live off of and where they get it from. Pretentious political considerations aside, each spectator can come to their own conclusions about this dialogue-provoking documentary. Are they happy despite the difficult living conditions? Or is theirs a happiness of resignation? Made in an observational style, it limits itself to simply passing on the experience with this family while trying to keep away from sensationalism.
