Pablo Remón

Pablo Remón (Madrid, 1977) studied Filmmaking at NYU, Drama and Philosophy at The New School, and graduated in Screenwriting at ECAM (Escuela de Cine y del Audiovisual de la Comunidad de Madrid). He has written the feature films CASUAL DAY, released in 2008, selected for the San Sebastián Film Festival, and winner of the Best Feature Film and Best Screenplay at the Spanish Cinema Writers Circle; CINCO METROS CUADRADOS (“Five Squared Meters”), currently on postproduction, to be released in 2011, and FANTASTIC WORLD, selected for the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and Cinema Tout-Ecran among others. He has also written the screenplays EL PERDIDO, with a screenwriters’ grant from the ICAA (Institute of Media Arts); LOS BRUTOS, purchased by Laextrañazine P.C. and supported by the Castilla la Mancha government, and RAPACES, winner of a Comunidad de Madrid grant in 2008. His short films have been broadcasted on Canal +, and released on DVD by Fnac. He has written several episodes for television, for Monfort P.C., Jonner&Fonner P.C. and Vomedios. He has studied Screenwriting with Robert McKee, Syd Field and Fernando Castets, Playwriting with Sanchis Sinisterra, Juan Mayorga and Neil LaBute; and Cinema with Pedro Costa. He teaches Screenwriting in Madrid, in ECAM and Salamanca University.
